Shadowrocket Android troubleshooting guide
Fix common Shadowrocket Android issues: cannot connect, connected but websites do not open, all speed tests fail, or remote lists stop updating.
Cannot connect
Check network access, node parameters, Android VPN permission, per-app proxy rules, and whether another VPN service is already active.
Connected but no access
Review DNS, route rules, IPv6, selected policy group, and whether the target website is being sent to the expected node.
Speed test passes but nothing loads after connecting
Do these in order and reconnect after each step. 1) Switch to another node that also passed the speed test. 2) Open Settings and flip Enable local DNS: turn it on if it was off, off if it was on. 3) If that changed nothing, flip Enable fake DNS the same way (it only takes effect while local DNS is on). 4) Still nothing: from the main menu export your nodes to the clipboard, uninstall the app, install it again and import the nodes. A reinstall clears a stale local state that no single setting can reset. Premium comes back on its own: through your Google account on the Google Play build, or with your restore code on the direct APK build.
Remote list update fails
Check the URL, HTTPS certificate, User Agent requirement, current network, and whether the provider changed the subscription address.
